Wenn man nach dem Angriff auf den ersten bewaffneten Truppentransporter auf der Brücke, nach dem ersten Kontakt mit Hendrix, durch den Gang zum Aufzug gehen muss, gibt es auf der rechten Seite eine Vertiefung in der Wand. Wenn man diese aufbombt, kommt man in einen Gang, der in eine Höhle mit Wasser führt. Auf dem Grund dieses "Sees" findet man einen toten Minenarbeiter, der ein Medipack, einen Anzug und Munition mit sich führte. Wenn man dann auf der anderen Seite das Wasser wieder verlässt, gelangt man in einen Gang, der hinter dem Fahrstuhl endet. Von dort hat man einen kleinen Vorteil beim Kampf gegen die Wachen, da man dort mehr Deckung hat. Wenn man bei Red Faction Remote Charges besitzt, kann man diese unendlich vermehren, indem man eine wirft und sie anschließend mit Use wieder aufnimmt. Bei jedem Mal besitzt man nach dem aufnehmen eine Remote Charge mehr als vorher. Mit einem kleinen Trick, kann man die Anzahl der Remote Charge Kits (Bombenkits) erhöhen. Dazu einfach ein Remote Charge an eine Wand heften und schliessend Use drücken. Und siehe da, man bekommt zwei Remote Charge Kits zurück. Macht man das ein paar mal, hat man bald 20 Kits (Maximum).
